Nomura Holdings supports Tokyo Rainbow Pride.

Nomura Group’s greatest asset is our employees.

Employees of approximately 90 nationalities work at Nomura Group, and respecting diversity in our workforce is one our most important themes. Employees with diverse backgrounds, such as age, gender, nationality, race, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity, demonstrate their abilities and individuality.
As part of our efforts to promote sustainability, Nomura Group promotes diversity and inclusion based on its corporate philosophy of “To build our values and ‘Deliver Together’, we promote diversity and collaboration across divisions and regions”.
Nomura Group employees have diverse skills, backgrounds and values, and we believe that we can meet the diverse needs of society through mutual recognition and collaboration. By allowing a diverse range of employees to play active and healthy roles in an open environment, we can offer new ideas and higher value-added services. We strongly believe this.

In 2010, Nomura Group launched an employee network in which employees volunteer to raise awareness of LGBT issues. Since 2013, the network has conducted various activities under the slogan “Be an LGBT Ally (=Supporter)!” in order to create a comfortable work environment for LGBT people. In addition to the “partnership system” which allows employees of the same or opposite sex to apply for welfare programs, in 2017 we established a “Guideline for Supporting Transgender Employees”, in order to create an environment where everyone can work with peace of mind.
As a result of these efforts, the circle of Allies has spread throughout the country, and the number of people who work enthusiastically has increased.

We will continue to work together with the community to contribute to the creation of
a society where everyone can live with peace of mind together.
Together, let’s expand the circle of “Ally”!
